Wool fabrics can be divided into fabrics containing a certain proportion of wool and all-wool fabrics. Below is a brief introduction to knowledge about wool fabrics!

Pure wool fabric:

With a 100% wool composition, it feels soft and elastic, and its body is crisp, neither boardy nor limp. It has a natural oily sheen, pure color, and naturally soft luster. Most worsted types are lightweight and medium-weight, with a smooth, even surface, fine and delicate texture, clear grain, and good drape. Most woolen types are medium-thick and thick, with a full woolen surface, a texture that is either fluffy or dense, and a warm, rich hand. After being tightly held and kneaded in the hand and then released, pure wool fabric basically has no wrinkles; slight creases can also fade in a short time and quickly recover to a flat state.

Chemical fiber wool-like fabrics:

Polyester wool-like fabric: mostly worsted types, with a smooth, slick surface and clear weave. Its luster and color are not as natural and soft as pure wool fabric; some have a slightly shiny feel and appear a little harsh. Polyester wool-like fabric feels crisp and has very good resilience, but it lacks the softness and rich, glutinous feel of pure wool fabric. Depending on the wool-like processing, it has varying degrees of stiffness and roughness. After being tightly kneaded and released, it has almost no wrinkles. Its warmth and fullness are also inferior to pure wool fabric.

Acrylic wool-like fabric: its texture is lighter and fluffier than pure wool fabric, and it feels warm and soft, with a strong wool-like appearance. Its colors are bright, but not soft enough, and somewhat harsh. Its crispness is inferior to polyester wool-like fabric, its elasticity is average, and wrinkles remain after kneading. Its drape is poor, and it feels somewhat light and frivolous.

Viscose wool-like fabric: its luster is dull and lacks the natural oily sheen of natural animal hair. It feels limp, and its body is not crisp. Its resilience is poor; after the fabric is kneaded and released, it is difficult for it to spring back immediately, and it wrinkles easily and does not recover easily. After wearing, its surface tends to fuzz, and the fabric becomes hard and rough after getting wet.

Wool and chemical fiber blended fabrics: their texture characteristics fall between pure wool fabric and chemical fiber wool-like fabric, and vary according to the blending ratio and the degree of wool-like processing.

Wool and polyester blended fabric: its luster lacks softness, and its hand falls between pure wool fabric and polyester wool-like fabric. It is crisp and drapey, and its body is somewhat stiff, becoming more obvious as the polyester content increases. Its wrinkle resistance is better than pure wool fabric. Wool and acrylic blended fabric: it has a good wool-like appearance, a full woolen surface, and a light, soft texture. Its wrinkle resistance is average, and it does not drape enough. Wool and nylon blended fabric: it feels somewhat boardy and hard, and has good wrinkle resistance. Its wool-like appearance is not as good as wool-acrylic fabric. Wool and viscose blended fabric: its luster is relatively dull, its resilience is not good enough, and it wrinkles easily. Worsted types have a soft, collapsed feel like cotton cloth. Woolen types are soft and loose, and not crisp enough.
